Digital Transformation - GO Virtual Assistants (GO-VA)

How has digital transformation changed the way leadership works? It’s a lot like what happened when “talkies” or movies with sound became possible a hundred years ago.

Sound changed the way actors and directors worked, it changed what equipment film crews could use, and it even changed the theaters where these movies were shown. The author Michael Schrage made this comparison in a recent webinar about leadership’s digital transformation.

As part of this transformation, leaders have become more transparent (see social media), more visible, and in some respects more free to be vulnerable.

One of the webinar’s recommendations was for businesses to use an “affective” dashboard that measures things like stress levels, wellness, and grit scores.

In GO-VA, we’ve started to measure engagement in our virtual events, in addition to things like attendance, punctuality, and frequency of huddles. It’s a work in progress.

If you could build an “affective” dashboard for your business, which of your team’s and your customers’ attitudes, feelings, and moods would you measure? How would you measure them?
