Let your feelings run their course. They’re often fleeting.
In February last year, the loss of one our teammates in the GO-VA tribe compelled us to talk about asking for help, especially when we are distressed, and discovering how to apply the “Oh crap to “OK” speed drill taught by the psychiatrist and business coach Mark Goulston (“Just Listen,” 2009).
Our feelings, like some of the stories we tell ourselves in moments of stress, are not always accurate. Best to let them pass and be kind to ourselves.
